BEING GOLLUM... (My poem about being in role as JRR Tolkien's GOLLUM at Sarehole Mill, Birmingham...)

 Being Gollum...

Masked by latex,

Loose on face, eye-holes awry,

Thus restricting my sight.

Clothed in habit,

Hung on body, waist roped

But knotting quite tight.

Armed with fish,

Crafted from rubber, wafted randomly,

Simulating a fight...

Crouched, dithering,

Speech withering

To gravelly whispers

Of threat.

Slouched, mumbling,

Curses grumbling

To incoherent whispers

Of regret...

Pete Ray…

Working at Sarehole Mill, Birmingham, dressed as JR Tolkien’s character, Gollum…
