The Mists Of Sennen…
The insistent and seemingly immovable mist lingered and veiled
The routes through Penwith towards the famed Sennen Cove
And in truth, there seemed little likelihood that the visibility there
Would be any different, as a right turn into Cove Road was negotiated
And the steep descent towards the sea driven, any hopes of a bright, warm visit curtailed…
The cove though nestled in clarity and the incoming tide purposeful, its palette fuelled
By a myriad of blues as it encroached the pallid amber beach sand and drove
Lustily forth. Yet, at the periphery, a screen of fog smothered the cove, where
Shadowy headlands became indistinct hulks and rocks like gravestones, infiltrated
By fictional movie mists, their horror and threat spookily unveiled…
